WAXING

PRE & POST TREATMENT CARE

Wax Appointment

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

Remember to allow your hair to grow long enough for the wax to grip and pull it out effectively but not so long that the wax isn't strong enough to grip. Ideally, the hair is about a quarter of an inch in length.

2 Weeks Before: Try to avoid using skincare products containing retinol 2 weeks before your waxing appointment.

3 to 5 Days Before: Begin a hydropeptide or PCA SKIN skincare regimen. We'll go over this in your initial consultation.
3 Days Before: Remember to moisturize! Skin that is well-hydrated will allow the wax to release more easily and with less pain.
2 Days Before: Exfoliate your skin to rid of any dead skin cells and allow for hair to release more easily.
The Day Of: Moisturize once more to ensure your skin is well hydrated. If you are waxing your bikini area, remember to ensure that the skin is cleaned thoroughly before your appointment as waxing can leave the skin more prone to infection. Be sure to do a quick inspection of your skin for any sores or wounds so we can be mindful and protect your skin during your session.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

  • A cold compress can help reduce redness and inflammation after your waxing appointment

  • Wear loose and breathable fabrics and clothing to avoid skin irritation and avoid friction and sweat.

  • Remember not to perform any skin exfoliation immediately after your waxing treatment. You may exfoliate 3 to 4 days after.
